Comment: Great post Anthony, out of the albums we have covered class this one has been my favorite to study; to me Eleanor Rigby is a haunting and incredible classic. I agree this album is definitely outside of the box and uses some interesting production techniques that were used quite often afterwards. Just reading about the techniques and methods they used inspires me to want to try some of the effects in my recordings. As a music production student I think you hit the nail on the head by focusing more on the topics you have, than the other while not trivial, less relatable information related to the creation of Revolver. Good job and very professional looking Blog as well.

Hello Dmitriy, Good Job on the post and I completely agree Portishead is an incredible group, their sound is haunting yet grounded in a trip hop groove. Roads is one of my all time favorite songs. I wish there were more artists that branched out and took advantage of the trip hop sound to help push it more into the mainstream of popular music. Though I personally feel that they helped lay the foundation down for other more indie artists to come through. I don’t think they got the larger recognition that they deserved, definitely a very underrated group. Really well written article that covers the information well. Chris
